Ben Stephenson in Nicaragua

I had a great de-briefing with Ben Stephenson today about this time in Nicaragua.  It was his first time out of the country and I believe it was time well spent!  Here's some pictures and stories of his time there.  Jon Meads (also a Beeson student) was with him as well.  Pics and stories below...

The trip to Nicaragua gave us a number of great ministry opportunities. Our daily work included from meeting basic human needs like providing food for starving families and basic medical needs (1 in 3 children under the age of 3 in Nicaragua die, often of simple issues like parasites or starvation). We built relationships through these ministries as well as playing with kids or just sitting and talking with moms. All these situations and relationships presented opportunities for sharing the gospel.

We also were given opportunities to preach at local churches or over the radio (the radio station reaches all of Nicaragua as well as into Honduras and Costa Rica). We even had the chance to teach at a school for pastors at the missions compound in Somotillo where we stayed.
